HISTORY

Action Synthese was founded in Paris, March 1998. It was born from the creation of the “Action New independent Talent” competition, by Films Action in 1995.

Following the success of this project, whose aim was to promote emerging graphic talent, the decision was made in 1998 to create a GCI production studio: Action Synthese.

In 1999, two short films were produced “Antebios” by Francois Baranger, and “Premier Domicile Connu” by Laurent Bénégui. These two short films were a great success, therefore the decision was taken in January 2000 to move Action Synthese studio to Marseille, ready to go into production on their first feature film “The Magic Roundabout”.

“The Magic Roundabout”, went into production in May 2002 and was completed in December 2004. The 3D production of this film was entirely realised at the Action Synthese studio in Marseille.

Since 2005, and the completion of “The Magic Roundabout” feature, Action Synthese have been working on developing a line-up of future productions, comparable to many of the big American studios.
